MDH, Everest spices face possible recall over alleged contamination in Australia

Australia is looking into accusations of contamination in some spice mixes sold by Indian companies MDH and Everest to decide if a recall was required. "Ethylene oxide is not permitted to be used as a treatment for foods sold here," Australia's food safety agency said. Earlier, Hong Kong suspended sales of three MDH spice blends and Everest fish curry mix.
