MDR may drive people to return to cash transactions: Retailers' body

Retailers Association of India warned that Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on UPI may drive people to return to cash transactions. It added that it will discuss the matter with National Payments Corporation of India and Finance Ministry. The retailers' body further said that even small merchants would now think twice before accepting transactions through UPI and may demand cash instead.
