The holy city of Mecca will soon be home to the largest hotel in the world. Set to open in 2017 in Mecca's Manafia area, the hotel will have 10,000 rooms in 12 separate, 44-storeyed towers. The $3.5 billion hotel spread across 1.4 million square meters will offer four and five-star rooms along with 70 restaurants, helipads and shopping areas.
