Media misreports UP govt's ₹1.33-cr Deepotsav budget as ₹133 cr

Several media outlets misreported that Uttar Pradesh government had sanctioned ₹133 crore for 'Deepotsav' in Ayodhya, in which over 5.51 lakh earthen lamps were lighted on October 26. The government had sanctioned nearly ₹1.33 crore for the event based on the availability of funds, and not ₹133 crore. A press release regarding the same is available on the government website.
