Medical plane which crashed in J'khand had requested deviation due to weather: DGCA

The Ranchi-New Delhi air ambulance, which crashed in Jharkhand on Monday evening, had established contact with Kolkata ATC and "requested for deviation due to weather", the DGCA said. The Beechcraft C90 aircraft (VT-AJV) lost communication and RADAR contact at approximately 100 nautical miles southeast of Varanasi. All seven people on board, including the patient and crew, were killed.
