Medieval queen’s skeleton found alongside mummified pregnant woman in Barcelona

Archaeologists excavating a 14th-century monastery in Barcelona have uncovered the remains of Queen Elisenda of Montcada, one of medieval Europe's most influential queens. They also found a partially mummified pregnant woman, men with stab wounds to their skulls and several other mysterious burials. Researchers are now conducting DNA and forensic studies to learn more about the individuals.
