Meena Kumari biopic based on 2,000 handwritten letters: Director

Siddharth P Malhotra, director of 'Kamal Aur Meena', a biopic on legendary actress Meena Kumari and filmmaker husband Kamal Amrohi, has confirmed that the script is finally complete after years of research. Malhotra said, "It's based on over 2,000 handwritten letters and diary entries. We're not making a film based on gossip. We're telling their story through their own words."
