Meesho shares fall 10% to 52-week low over ₹1,500-cr I-T notice

Meesho's shares fell by 10% intraday on Monday to touch a 52-week low of ₹143.20 on BSE. The company disclosed receiving an income tax demand notice for nearly ₹1,500 crore, including interest, for the Assessment Year 2023-24, which it said it will contest. Earlier, the Karnataka High Court granted an interim stay on a ₹572-crore demand notice for AY 2022-23.
