Meet the Dynamite Tree that explodes to scatter its seeds

The Dynamite Tree, or Hura crepitans, is one of nature’s most unusual plants. Its fruits can violently burst when fully dried, scattering seeds at remarkable speeds. Native to parts of the Central and South America, the tree also features sharp spines along its trunk. While fascinating, its explosive fruit and thorny exterior make it a potentially hazardous natural wonder.
