Meghalaya HC issues contempt notices to bar leaders over boycott
The Meghalaya High Court issued criminal contempt notices to office-bearers of the Shillong Bar Association and High Court Bar Association for calling a judicial work boycott demanding removal of Advocate General Amit Kumar. A division bench termed the boycott "completely unacceptable," warning it disrupted justice. Members must appear personally on October 13.
