Meghalaya ranks 10th in Export Preparedness Index 2024

Meghalaya has been ranked 10th among small states, northeast states, and UTs in NITI Aayog’s Export Preparedness Index 2024, and placed in the 'Challenger' category. With exports worth about ₹83.7 crore in FY24, the state’s performance is driven by limestone, quartz, and niche agri-products like Lakadong turmeric, though gaps in logistics and processing limit growth.
