MeitY may block Chinese app that can turn off e-rickshaws: Report

MeitY is examining the security risks posed by the Chinese BAT-BMS app after videos showed pranksters remotely switching off moving e-rickshaws, Moneycontrol reported. The app allegedly connects to nearby vehicles via Bluetooth and cuts power while they are in motion. The ministry is assessing the issue and considering whether the app should be blocked.
