MeitY proposes stricter rules for labelling AI content

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has proposed tightening disclosure rules for AI-generated content, while extending feedback to May 7. The latest proposal mandates that labels on AI-generated information in visual formats must remain "continuous and clearly visible...throughout the duration of the content", adding to the earlier rule of "prominent visibility" of labels.
