Men preserve mother's dead body for 5 months to draw pension
Four men allegedly preserved the body of their 70-year-old mother with chemicals for five months to draw her pension of ₹13,000, said Varanasi police. Her family had announced her death in January, but later claimed she was in a coma. The police said that to conceal foul odour, they applied chemicals and burnt 'loban' (benzoin gum) in the house.
