Mention date & timestamp on footage: Govt to news channels amid Middle East war

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, C Senthil Rajan, has urged TV news channels to avoid airing the same footage repeatedly. He also asked them to ensure that the footage being shared is properly dated and timestamped. This comes as the government has suspended TRPs for news channels over unwarranted sensationalism and speculative content on Middle East war.
