Mercedes-Benz gets notice for violating pollution norms in Maha

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board issued a show-cause notice to Mercedes-Benz for violating pollution norms at its Chakan plant and gave it 15 days to respond. Clarifiers and centrifuges in the sewage treatment plant aren't working and emission control devices haven't been installed for diesel engines either. The board's Chairman Siddhesh Kadam did a surprise inspection of the plant in August.
