Mercedes-Benz parent to test self-driving cars in China

Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, has been granted a license to test self-driving vehicles on public roads in Beijing, China. It is the first non-Chinese company to win a license to test level 4 self-driving vehicles in the country. The test vehicles use technology from Daimler's partner Baidu Apollo and will have human drivers on board for emergency situations.
