Merseyside Police have opened an investigation after Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré faced racial abuse following his side's match against Liverpool at Goodison Park. Following the incident, both Everton and Liverpool issued statements in support of the midfielder. The Premier League also condemned the abuse the 32-year-old faced.
