Messi becomes 1st player to miss 2 in-game penalties in a World Cup edition

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has become the first player in FIFA World Cup history to miss two in-game penalties in a single edition. Messi missed penalty in 21st minute against Egypt in their Round of 16 match on Tuesday. He earlier missed an in-game penalty against Austria in group stage. Overall, Messi has missed four in-game penalties in World Cups.
