Argentina captain Lionel Messi lasted just around 43 seconds on the field on his international debut, before getting a red card. Messi, who turns 31 today, debuted for Argentina on August 17, 2005, in a friendly against Hungary by coming on as a substitute in the second half. The forward elbowed a player in the neck and was sent off.
