Los Angeles FC (LAFC) defeated Lionel Messi's Inter Miami 3-0 in both teams' Major League Soccer (MLS) 2026 season opener. David Martínez and Denis Bouanga scored for LAFC in the 38th and 73rd minutes, respectively, while substitute Nathan Ordaz added the final goal for the hosts in the second-half stoppage time. Notably, Inter Miami won the title in 2025.
