Messi was paid ₹89 crore for India tour, organiser tells police

Arrested event organiser Satadru Dutta told police that Lionel Messi received ₹89 crore for his recent India tour, with ₹11 crore remitted as tax to government, PTI reported. He alleged "influential people" pressured him into tripling the number of access cards issued, which led to chaos at Kolkata atadium. Dutta was arrested within hours of the incident on December 13.
