Messi became only the second player, after Cristiano Ronaldo, to reach 100 Champions League goals, taking 21 games less than Ronaldo's 144 for the feat. Elsewhere, Bayern Munich thrashed Besiktas 8-1 on aggregate to enter their seventh straight quarters.
