Meta, YouTube face trial over 'engineering addiction' in children
Meta and Google-owned YouTube have begun a trial, wherein plaintiffs accused the tech giants of deliberately "engineering addiction" in children, in a California court. Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg is expected to testify next week, while Instagram head Adam Mosseri will appear as early as Wednesday. "They don't only build apps, they build traps," said plaintiffs' lawyer Mark Lanier.
