Meta acquires Moltbook weeks after its founder joined competitor OpenAI

Meta has announced that it has acquired Moltbook, the social networking platform built for AI agents, and that it'll be joining the Meta Superintelligence Labs. This comes weeks after Moltbook's co-creator, Peter Steinberger, joined Meta's competitor OpenAI. It's yet unclear how Meta will incorporate Moltbook, which had gone viral but was later found not to be secure.
