Meta blocks EU-based users from using Insta's Threads app via VPN

Meta has blocked EU-based users from using Instagram's newly-launched Threads app via VPN (virtual private network). Threads is not available in the EU due to privacy concerns. "We hope to make Threads available [in Europe] in the future," Meta said. "I'm a US citizen, have a US account...but [I'm] staying in Europe for now...I was blocked too," a netizen tweeted.
