Meta employee buys 12-year lease for cruise ship apartment for ₹2.4 cr to work remotely

Austin Wells, a 28-year-old Meta employee from US' San Diego, has bought a 12-year lease for an apartment on a cruise ship to travel the world while working remotely. Wells spent $300,000 (over ₹2.4 crore) on the lease. "The thing that most excites me is I don't have to upend my daily routine...to go see the world," he said.
