Meta employees took snacks, chargers during layoffs; it was like doomsday: Ex-employee

An ex-Meta employee described the atmosphere inside the company on the eve of the company's first major layoff as "almost like doomsday." "I remember the very first big layoff, the night before was almost like doomsday, people were stuffing...bags with free snacks and drinks and chargers," she said. Her remarks come ahead of Meta’s expected elimination of around 8,000 jobs.
