Meta exploited $4bn tax credit by calling AI data centres 'experimental': Report

Meta labelled its data centres as experimental "pilot models" to exploit tax credits worth $4 billion in 2025 while secretly admitting in security filings the tax savings could be overturned by IRS, New York Times reported. Meta claims the expensive computer chips it buys are entitled to tax credit. Meta added that it invested $200 billion in five years.
