Meta image detector tool fails to identify its own cropped AI images: Report

Meta's AI image detection tool, unveiled this week with Muse Image, failed to identify its own AI-generated images after they were simply cropped, as per Reuters analysis. The study revealed the tool failed to identify 55% of AI-generated images that were cropped to one-third or half their original size after analysing 40 images. The tool verified all original AI-generated images.
