Meta in talks to settle landmark teen safety trial in US: Report

Meta and state attorneys general have discussed a possible mid-trial settlement in ongoing landmark trial accusing firm of deliberately designing Facebook and Instagram to addict teens. The trial, now in its second week, poses an enormous risk for Meta, as a loss could saddle it with penalties of up to $1.4 trillion. CEO Mark Zuckerberg may also have to testify.
