Meta India chief summoned over ads selling child sex abuse content for ₹99 on Instagram

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has summoned Meta India's chief on Wednesday as it launched a formal inquiry into allegations related to child sexual abuse material advertisements on Instagram. NCPCR had issued a notice to Meta on July 3, to which Meta replied within a week. The ads sold the material for as little as ₹99.
