Meta, Microsoft among companies who own trademarks to Twitter's new name X

Twitter may face legal trouble after changing its name to X as several companies, including Meta and Microsoft, own intellectual property rights to the letter, Reuters reported. Microsoft has owned an X trademark related to communications about its Xbox since 2003. Meanwhile, Meta owns a 2019 trademark of a blue-and-white letter 'X' in the fields of software and social media.
