Meta partners with plastic recycling startup, will help it build its 1st US factory

Meta has partnered with a 3-year-old US-based plastic recycling startup MacroCycle and will also help it develop its first commercial plant. The two firms have entered into an "Environment attribute credit" deal, under which Meta will pay the startup for the avoided carbon emissions, helping Meta reduce its carbon footprint. Notably, Meta does not need to directly purchase a product.
