Meta planning $10-billion 40,000-km subsea cable to control global data traffic: Report
Facebook-parent Meta is planning to build a 25,000-mile (over 40,000 km) subsea fiber-optic cable worth $10 billion to enhance its global data traffic capabilities, TechCrunch reported. Forming a "W" shape worldwide, the projected cable will go from US' east coast to India via South Africa and from India to the west coast of United States via Australia, the report added.
