Meta planning cloud business to sell excess AI compute: Report

Meta is planning to develop a cloud infrastructure business to sell its excess AI computing capacity, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. With the business Meta could join cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. SpaceX earlier announced similar plans and signed a deal with Anthropic to buyout the compute capacity at SpaceX's Colossus 1 data centre.
