Meta's top AI Scientist advises computer science students to focus on maths, physics

Meta's outgoing Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun has advised computer science (CS) students to learn things with a "long shelf life", like mathematics or physics, rather than "trendy technology du jour". "If you are a CS major and take the minimum required math courses...you might find yourself unable to adapt to major technological shifts," the NYU Professor told Business Insider.
