Meta techies claim company making them do forced labour, say they're doing grunt work for AI

Meta engineers are expressing frustration with the Applied AI team, formed in March to support Meta Superintelligence Labs, WIRED reported. "It's literally a gulag...You have zero purpose in life all of a sudden," an employee said, signalling widespread staff dissatisfaction. A second employee said they're stuck making puzzles to test AI models, with a third calling the grunt work "soul-crushing".
