Meta to face POCSO Act if it fails to explain Instagram child abuse ads: Report

Government has warned that Meta could face action under the IT Rules and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act if it fails to provide information on paid Instagram ads allegedly promoting child sexual abuse content, ET Now reported. Authorities have also directed the company to disable all such advertisements and submit a detailed explanation within seven days.
