Meta to fire 8,000 employees in a single day: Report

Meta may fire 10% of its workforce, or 8,000 employees, on May 20 as part of its first round of layoffs for this year, Reuters reported. Meta's further layoff rounds are planned for the second half of this year, with their size and timing yet to be decided. Reports earlier said Meta was planning to fire 20% of its workforce.
