Meta to open-source versions of its new AI models: Report

Meta will eventually open source its upcoming AI models developed under Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang, Axios reported. Before releasing the models openly, Meta reportedly plans to keep ownership of some features to ensure no new safety level risks are introduced, sources told Axios. Meta reportedly wants its models to focus on consumers and be distributed as widely as possible.
