Meta to pay ₹1.7 lakh cr as it settles teen addiction lawsuit against Insta & FB

Meta has agreed to pay $18 billion (over ₹1.7 lakh crore) to settle the lawsuit by US states claiming its platforms are designed to addict teens. It agreed to restrict teenagers' use of Facebook and Instagram to two hours daily and require parental consent to use them between midnight to 6 am. California will get highest payout of $2.2 billion.
