Following the discontinuation of Messenger desktop app, Meta announced it would also discontinue the Messenger.com website in April 2026. Users trying to access it in a browser will be redirected to facebook.com/messages, even as the mobile app for iOS and Android will continue to operate normally. Meta is trying to integrate the chat service back into the main Facebook ecosystem.
