Mexican drug lord 'El Chapo' sentenced to life in prison in US

Mexican drug lord Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán was on Wednesday sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years, in the US. The 62-year-old was convicted in February on all 10 counts he faced, including drug trafficking, money laundering and engaging in murder conspiracies. He was earlier ordered to forfeit $12.6 billion (over ₹86,700 crore).
