Microsoft, OpenAI set '$100 bn in profits' target for AGI: Report

OpenAI and its investor Microsoft internally defined AGI as an AI system that could generate at least $100 billion in profits for the startup, The Information reported. The definition was reportedly part of a 2023 agreement between the two companies. OpenAI's website defines AGI as "a highly autonomous system that outperforms humans at most economically valuable work".
