Microsoft aims to be carbon negative by 2030, unveils $1bn climate fund

Microsoft announced its plans to become carbon negative by 2030 and remove all the carbon it has put in the environment, directly or indirectly, since it was founded in 1975. It also announced plans to create a $1-billion 'Climate Innovation Fund' to accelerate the development of carbon removal technology. Microsoft will also release an annual report on its progress.
