Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates steps down from company's board

Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates is stepping down from the company's board of directors to spend more time on philanthropic efforts including global health, development and education, and tackling climate change. Gates, the world's second-richest person, is also leaving the board of Warren Buffett-led Berkshire Hathaway. He, however, will remain a technology adviser to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
