Microsoft hires Google DeepMind Co-founder Suleyman as CEO of new AI unit

Microsoft has hired Mustafa Suleyman to run the company's new consumer artificial intelligence unit. Suleyman is the Co-founder of DeepMind, an AI company that was bought by Google in 2014. He is joining Microsoft along with several employees from his startup Inflection AI and its Co-founder Karen Simonyan. As CEO of Microsoft AI, Suleyman will report to Satya Nadella.
