Microsoft launches 4th cloud region in India amid ₹2 lakh cr investment commitment

Microsoft has launched its fourth cloud region in India as part of efforts to expand its AI infrastructure and increase the data centre capacity. This comes amidst Microsoft's previously announced commitment to invest $20.5-billion (₹1.96-lakh crore) in India. It added that only 3% of world's data centre capacity is in India, while 20% of the world's data is generated here.
