Microsoft is in talks to shelve or delay its clean energy targets as AI has lifted power use, Bloomberg reported, citing sources. The firm has a target of matching 100% of its hourly electricity consumption with renewable energy. The costly and energy-intensive push for data centres is affecting views in climate commitments made before the AI era, the sources said.
